Alma Gilmore Doud Memorial Scholarship

Alma Gilmore DoudAlma Gilmore Doud (March 28, 1924 – May 1, 2014), a faithful member of First Congregational Church, dedicated her life to community service. This scholarship is established to remember and honor her and her contributions to the Saginaw community. 

Qualifications

  • Minimum GPA: 3.0
  • Resident of Great Lakes Bay Region (Bay, Midland or Saginaw County)
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree or Career and Technical Education (CTE) training
  • Part- or full-time enrollment
  • Priority given to First Congregational Church (FCC) member and/or confirmand. Students must demonstrate a connection to FCC

Evaluation Criteria

  • Overall involvement (30)
  • FCC member/confirmand/student demonstrating connection to FCC (30)
  • Essay on career goals (20)
  • Demonstrated leadership ability (10)
  • Letters of recommendation (10)
