The Milton L. Greenebaum Scholarship was established as a legacy to Milton L. Greenebaum, a pioneer in the Michigan radio and television broadcasting industries and well-known Saginaw businessman and arts supporter. He was general manager and part-owner of radio station WBCM in Bay City until establishing radio station WSAM in Saginaw in 1940. He was also co-founder of WNEM-TV 5 and served as its vice president until 1955.
The scholarship was established in honor of Mr. Greenebaum’s many contributions to Saginaw. His community contributions included founding the Saginaw Hall of Fame, which memorializes the great men and women of Saginaw, and serving as president of the Saginaw Historical Society.
