Great Lakes Bay Pride (formerly Perceptions) is the resource, education, advocacy, and networking organization serving the LGBTQ+ and ally community throughout Michigan’s Great Lakes Bay Region. The scholarship will be awarded to a Michigan resident who has demonstrated a passion for promoting mutual respect and acceptance for all through engagement with diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2.5 GPA
- Resident of Michigan
- High school senior, college student or non-traditional student
- Pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree or Career and Technical Education (CTE) training
- Demonstrated a commitment to promoting respect and acceptance of diversity across all borders including race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression
- Volunteer work in the LGBTQ+ community
- Part- or full-time enrollment
