Heather came into this world and blessed our lives on June 13, 1986. Her life, like that of her sister’s, was taken by a drunk driver on October 15, 2000, following her first high school homecoming dance.
Heather was extremely excited to be at Heritage High School for her freshman year. She had plans to participate in everything she possibly could. In the few short weeks that she attended Heritage, she was involved with Students Against Drunk Drivers and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and was elected a student senator for her class.
Heather had a passion for sports and participated in many throughout her school years. Her greatest source of joy came from being a member of the freshman girls’ basketball team. She was elected one of their captains and felt privileged to be in that position.
Heather loved her family. She had a special place in her heart for her role model, “Sis.” Her brother was her hero and she couldn’t wait to be a mentor to her little sister. Heather was a very special young woman. She will forever be in our hearts.
