Glenn Mayer was a long time resident of Carrollton, where he and his wife Camilla raised four children – Karin, Keith, Kyle and Karli, all of whom graduated from Carrollton High School. In Glenn’s retirement from General Motors he enjoyed driving school buses for Carrollton Public Schools. Throughout his life, Glenn was active in the Carrollton Athletic Association as well as a constant volunteer for Carrollton recreation programs and other athletic interests. He was a consummate and enthusiastic fan of the Carrollton Cavaliers. Even more fervent than his love for Carrollton Athletics, was his moral drive to give everyone a chance, to be fair, and above all do the right thing – even if no one was looking.
The Glenn Mayer Memorial Fund was established to honor students of Carrollton High School with exemplary sportsmanship and integrity.
